SIYINGHONG teaches you to identify jacquard fabrics

1.Classification of jacquard fabrics

Single-color jacquard is jacquard dyed fabric--the jacquard gray fabric is woven by jacquard loom first, and then dyed and finished. Therefore, the yarn-dyed jacquard fabric has more than two colors, the fabric is rich in color, not monotonous, the pattern has a strong three-dimensional effect, and the grade is higher. The width of the fabric is not limited, and the pure cotton fabric has a small shrinkage, does not pill, and does not fade. Jacquard fabrics can generally be used for high-end and high-end clothing materials or decoration industry materials (such as curtains, sofa fabrics). The manufacturing process of jacquard fabrics is complex. The warp and weft yarns interweave up and down to form different patterns, with concave and convex patterns, and beautiful patterns such as flowers, birds, fish, insects, birds and animals are often woven.

Soft, delicate and smooth unique texture, good gloss, good drapability and air permeability, high color fastness (yarn dyeing). The pattern of jacquard fabric is large and exquisite, and the color layer is clear and three-dimensional, while the pattern of dobby fabric is relatively simple and single.

Satin jacquard fabric (fabric): The warp and weft are interwoven at least every three yarns, so the satin weave makes the fabric denser, so the fabric is thicker. Satin weave products cost more than similar plain and twill weave products. Fabrics woven with satin weave are collectively referred to as satin weave fabrics. Satin weave fabrics can be divided into front and back sides. In a complete weave loop, there are the least interweaving points and the longest floating lines. The surface of the fabric is almost entirely composed of warp or weft floating lines. The satin weave fabric is soft in texture. Satin weave fabric has front and back sides, and the cloth surface is smooth and delicate, full of luster. The most common satin fabric is striped satin, referred to as satin. Available in 40-count 2m 4-width satin strips and 60-count 2m 8-width satin strips. The process of weaving first and then dyeing, this kind of fabric is generally solid color, extended by horizontal stripes. The pure cotton fabric shrinks slightly, does not pill, and is not easy to fade.

2.Fabric maintenance method

Washing: Clothing is woven from protein-based delicate health-care fibers. Washing should not be rubbed on rough items or washed in a washing machine. The clothes should be soaked in cold water for 5--10 minutes, and synthesized with special silk detergent or neutral detergent. Rub lightly with soap (if washing small fabrics such as silk scarves, it is better to use shampoo as well), and rinse the colored silk garments in clean water repeatedly.

Drying: Clothes should not be exposed to the sun after washing, let alone heated by a dryer. Generally, they should be dried in a cool and ventilated place. Because the ultraviolet rays in the sun tend to yellow, fade and age silk fabrics. Therefore, after washing silk garments, it is not advisable to twist them to remove water. They should be gently shaken, and the reverse side should be aired outside, and then ironed or shaken flat after drying until 70% dry.

Ironing: The wrinkle resistance of clothing is slightly worse than that of chemical fibers, so there is a saying that "no wrinkle is not real silk". If the clothes are wrinkled after washing, they need to be ironed to be crisp, elegant and beautiful. When ironing, dry the clothes until they are 70% dry, then spray water evenly, and wait for 3-5 minutes before ironing. The ironing temperature should be controlled below 150°C. The iron should not touch the silk surface directly to avoid aurora.

Preservation: To preserve clothing, for thin underwear, shirts, trousers, dresses, pajamas, etc., first wash them clean, iron them dry before storing them. For autumn and winter clothing, jackets, Hanfu, and cheongsam that are inconvenient to remove and wash, they should be cleaned by dry cleaning and ironed until they are flattened to prevent mildew and moths. After ironing, it can also play the role of sterilization and insecticide. At the same time, boxes and cabinets for storing clothes should be kept clean and sealed as much as possible to prevent dust pollution.
